Rosendael castle near Arnhem is one of the former residences of the Counts and Dukes of Gelria. The bold donjon reminds of these days. Now, the castle dates mainly from the 17th and 18th century. The 17th century gardens with their shell caves, fountains and waterfalls are famous for their architecture.
